British Press car driver Matthew Cooper, who competes at events such as this year's Touareg Rally in Morocco, chooses a competition specification Can-Am Commander XT SSV for his race support vehicle this year.
Two years ago he chose an Outlander quad, which was a good choice for the conditions encountered on the piste, but the SSV with its open sides is invaluable for the camera crew. Matthew thinks the Breslau experience is brilliant. "The whole seven days are a magic experience but I have a special fondness for the stages round Glebokie and the Drawsko County, a place offering plenty of variety and great racing.
Apart from the thrill of the chase, there are unforgettable moments at the Breslau and each team will come away with a set of memories that will last for ever. Every year is different.
Last year armed to the teeth soldiers on manoeuvres stopped us at a roadblock and suddenly melted to ask for a picture of them in the buggy.
That was a moment of real pleasure. I recall being covered in dust after a day out at race, good food ready when we needed the most, rocket holes in old tanks, fish jumping in beautiful lakes and the clean smell of the forests.
Great images of cars, trucks, bikes and quads and not to mention the SSV's speeding through the Polish Sahara - these are just some of the thoughts from a whole kaleidoscope of priceless memories. This is my third year now, and all I can say for the Breslau Rally is: “Thats my race!"
